Members must show the utmost respect for their fellow members at all times.
Prospective members are required to ride with the club three times before membership is voted on. One of the three rides must be at least 50 miles.
When riding, we ride in a staggered formation with a 2-second interval from the bike directly in front; one second from the bike diagonal.
We will never leave anyone behind, regardless of the vehicle. If someone stops, the last person will ride up to the front and notify the leader so that everyone can stop.
When on a ride or at a function if someone is not going to ride back with the group, they will notify one of the officers.
When preparing to leave for a ride, the first bike will not leave the area until everyone is ready to leave and all gas tanks are full.
Members are expected to attend meetings and activities on a regular basis. Attendance is being recorded. The only EXCEPTIONS are for those members who work on weekends, or illness.
No intoxicants before or during meetings or rides. EXCEPTION: On a long ride, one (1) beer with lunch is permitted. After a meeting or a ride if you want to drink, take off your colors.
All members must work to develop and maintain behavior so as to project a positive image of the organization in the community. Based on the positive image we want to project, we will not wear vulgar patches or pins on our vests.
Each member must respect the judgment of the road captains and cooperate with their guidance. Remember, they are there for your safety.
Colors for the New Mexico Patriots are: Rocker and POW/MIA patch on back of vest and name tag on front of vest.
Members are required to wear their colors at meetings and activities when participating with the New Mexico Patriots.
Members must show a modicum of decorum during meetings and not interrupt when another member has the floor.
After six months of no participation the general membership will assume that an individual is no longer interested in the NM Patriots and will be asked to stop wearing their New Mexico Patriot colors.
Members will vote on the fate of other members breaking these rules.
